Video Editor
Company Overview
It is a performance-driven creative agency that designs and produces paid social advertising at scale. The company specialises in ad creative across UGC, high-production shoots, AI-generated content, motion graphics, and animated formats, with a strong focus on measurable results and fast iteration. The team operates in small creative pods and values speed, craft, and a clear link between creative work and campaign performance.
Mission
You'll join a creative pod as a Video Editor reporting to the Lead Editor, working on structured briefs to deliver polished ad-ready content. Day-to-day you'll assemble sequences from numbered shot lists and scripts, apply titles, text animations, transitions, and accurate subtitles across multiple aspect ratios and languages, and turn rough assets into high-performing paid social creative. If you enjoy working fast, solving problems with limited assets, and making creative choices that help ads convert — you'll feel right at home.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will vary, giving you room to learn, grow, and strengthen your skills while supporting the team with excellence.
- Receive briefs and asset packages from the Lead Editor and deliver completed edits to the specified format, aspect ratio, and deadline.
- Assemble sequences from numbered clips and shot lists in the order set out by the creative strategy team.
- Apply titles, text overlays, animations, transitions, and subtitles to every deliverable.
- Edit across a wider variety of formats including social media ads, short-form content (TikTok/Reels), UGC, podcasts, YouTube content, and higher-production videos.
- Work with multi-language scripts and subtitles—assembling and formatting content in languages other than English.
- Deliver revisions and iterations based on feedback from the Lead Editor and creative strategists, often within the same day.
- Manage your project pipeline within Focal—keeping task statuses, deliverables, and deadlines up to date.
- Attend team standups, creative reviews, and pod meetings as scheduled.
- Flag blockers, delays, or asset issues to the Lead Editor proactively.
- Ensure edits are clean on first pass—no misaligned text, missing assets, or sloppy cuts.
- Make smart editorial calls when briefs or assets are ambiguous rather than waiting for clarification.
- Maintain speed and volume while preserving accuracy and attention to detail.
- Respond promptly to feedback, take notes, and avoid repeating the same mistakes.
- Work fully internally within the creative team (no direct client communication).
