Creative Strategist - DTC/Ecommerce Paid Social

Company Overview

It is one of the fastest-growing remote creative and performance marketing agencies in the United States, scaling direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce brands through paid advertising and high-volume creative assets. Founded by experienced industry operators with a decade of expertise in the DTC space, the agency produces over 100 in-house ad creatives a month. The team holds an exceptionally high bar for execution, moving away from theoretical strategies to run fast-paced, direct, and high-growth ad accounts for an exclusive, waitlisted client base.

Mission

We are looking for a deeply creative, data-informed Creative Strategist who lives and breathes paid social ad performance. In this role, you will own the creative strategy for our client portfolios—conducting rigorous market research, developing high-volume ad concepts, writing production-ready briefs, and translating raw performance metrics into winning ad iterations. This is a high-volume, pure strategy and ideation role, not a visual design or video editing seat. If you are a marketer at your core who constantly studies viral hooks, thumb-stops, and consumer psychology because you genuinely love the craft, you'll feel right at home.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will vary, giving you room to learn, grow, and strengthen your skills while supporting the team with excellence.

  • Conduct fundamental market, brand, competitor, and customer research to ground ad concepts in deep consumer psychology.
  • Generate a minimum of 5+ completely original, high-volume ad concepts per week across assigned client accounts.
  • Develop 10+ production-ready creative briefs weekly, balancing entirely new visual angles with data-backed iterations of winning ads.
  • Monitor live ad accounts daily to extract clear, data-driven insights from creative metrics like click-through rates and hook rates.
  • Lead weekly creative reviews per account to analyze performance wins, dissect ad failures, and map future testing strategies.
  • Execute precise quality control reviews on editor video cuts, delivering clear feedback notes and hopping on alignment calls with production.
  • Maintain flawless project organization in ClickUp, taking full ownership of deadlines, asset statuses, and internal creative reporting.

Qualifications

  • Years of Experience: Proven experience in creative strategy, performance creative, or paid social ad production, gained either in-house at a DTC brand or at an agency focused on content creation.
  • Softwares: ClickUp (for project workflows); familiarity with ad accounts (Meta, TikTok), tracking tools, or video editing structures is helpful.
  • Industry Knowledge Required: Deep understanding of short-form video formats (UGC, TikTok, IG Reels), performance creative metrics, hooks, scriptwriting angles, and multi-niche DTC e-commerce ecosystems.
  • Specific Gender: No preference

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep well of imagination and an endless stream of original ideas for marketing hooks, angles, and content formats.
  • Intense curiosity for what makes people stop scrolling and buy, backed by a strong foundation in direct-response marketing.
  • Fluent written and spoken English, with an ability to write highly compelling, persuasive ad scripts and concise notes.
  • Analytical capacity to let data—not personal opinions—define what constitutes a winning or losing creative asset.
  • Exceptional collaborative habits, built to review concepts openly with media buyers, fellow strategists, and production editors.

Technical Requirements

  • Own PC or laptop capable of processing rapid video review files and multi-asset briefs.
  • High-speed, reliable internet connection (wired connection recommended).
  • Premium headset and a quiet workspace for remote editorial and client collaboration.
  • Competence navigating design and project spaces to accurately communicate visual pacing and asset requirements.
