Mission
As an Info Direct Response Copywriter, you will be responsible for driving the creative strategy within your client pod, creating persuasive ad copy, email sequences, and other long-form assets. Your primary goal is to understand what makes campaigns successful, analyze the data to uncover insights, and generate fresh creative concepts grounded in performance metrics. You will work closely with a strategist, media buyer, and project manager to develop and optimize high-converting ad copy for clients with substantial ad budgets. This role requires a proactive mindset, as you will lead the creative strategy process, ensuring that each campaign is built on solid data and creative reasoning.
Key Responsibilities
Your daily tasks will vary, offering opportunities to dive deep into creative strategy, copywriting, and performance analysis, while continuously growing and refining your skills.
- Own the creative strategy for client campaigns, including writing ad scripts, body copy, hooks, and email copy.
- Lead creative calls and collaborate with your pod to discuss the best strategies for testing new ad concepts.
- Analyze creative performance data and use it to inform decisions about what to test next.
- Develop fresh, high-converting concepts and assets based on performance insights and messaging foundations.
- Write email copy within defined frameworks, ensuring that each sequence aligns with the campaign's strategic goals.
- Keep track of what's working and what's not across your clients and adapt your creative approach accordingly.
- Maintain a clear understanding of each client's goals and develop ad concepts and emails that directly support those objectives.
- Ensure all creative is grounded in the messaging foundations created by the Senior Copywriter, utilizing avatar research and messaging bibles to refine your copy.
- Provide feedback to designers and editors, ensuring the visuals and copy work cohesively to drive results.
- Update creative trackers, filling out creative briefs with strategic reasoning for each ad batch.
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of direct response copywriting experience, preferably in the info/coaching marketing space.
- Deep understanding of awareness levels, belief shifts, and persuasion principles.
- Experience writing ad copy in various formats, including video scripts, static ads, body copy, hooks, and email copy.
- Proven ability to analyze creative performance and use data to optimize campaigns.
- Strong experience with email copywriting within defined frameworks, including promotional campaigns, nurture flows, and automation sequences.
- Comfortable working with performance data and using tools like creative trackers, attribution platforms, and reporting tools to inform your work.
- In-depth understanding of avatar psychology and audience segmentation, ensuring the messaging speaks directly to the target audience.
- Ability to take strategic direction and develop clear, effective creative concepts backed by data and reasoning.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including strategists, media buyers, and designers.
