Position: Info Growth Marketing Manager and Strategist
Working hours: 9AM - 6PM EST / Remote

Salary range: 2,500 - 3,000 USD/per month

Company Overview

The company is a growth marketing agency with a team of 130+ experienced leaders, creatives, and marketing professionals focused on helping businesses achieve sustainable, profitable growth. Its approach is centered on bringing together a skilled team to deliver measurable results and a strong client experience. The company specializes in local lead generation, e-commerce, and information marketing, serving a diverse range of clients, including automotive businesses, local service providers, consumer product brands, course creators, coaches, and other online businesses.

Mission

We're looking for a strategist who can own growth across a pod of 5-8 clients in our direct response/info marketing division. You'll lead a cross-functional team - managing a media buyer, copywriter, and PM - and you'll be the person responsible for making sure every client has a real plan, real goals, and someone actively driving toward them.
This is the most senior client-facing role in the division and you are setting the strategic direction for each client's marketing - offer positioning, funnel strategy, creative direction, KPIs - and then leading your team to execute against it. When something's working, you know why; when something's not, you've already diagnosed the constraint and you're prescribing a fix, not waiting for the client to notice.
You're also a people manager. Your pod reports to you, which means setting priorities, running 1:1s, giving direct feedback, developing your people, and holding the standard on everything that leaves your pod. A strategist who does good strategy, but doesn't lead their team is only doing half of the job.

Key Responsibilities

· Monitor account performance daily, including spend pacing, KPIs, and emerging performance issues.

· Identify and prioritize client needs, distinguishing strategic matters requiring your attention from operational tasks that can be handled by the Project Manager (PM).

· Lead pod standups and provide clear direction on client priorities, account performance, and daily objectives.

· Lead and prepare for client calls by developing clear agendas, performance narratives, strategic recommendations, and next steps.

· Own the strategic client relationship, including performance discussions, expectation management, recommendations, and difficult conversations when results are below expectations.

· Review team deliverables—including copy, creative briefs, funnel pages, and ad concepts—to ensure they align with the overall strategy and meet quality standards.

· Direct Project Managers on new strategic initiatives, such as funnel tests, offer restructuring, and changes in creative direction.

· Make strategic decisions and resolve issues related to campaign performance, client feedback, messaging, creative direction, and media buying.

· Provide guidance and decision-making support to cross-functional team members, including media buyers, copywriters, creatives, and PMs.

· Conduct regular 1:1 meetings with direct reports and support their performance, development, and growth.

· Maintain regular priority alignment with the Project Manager to ensure strategic initiatives and client needs are progressing.

· Maintain and update funnel maps and strategic documentation in Miro.

· Provide consistent written client updates, regardless of whether a client call is scheduled that week.

· Ensure reporting infrastructure is accurate, current, and reliable, while overseeing data quality and reporting standards.

· Maintain overall strategic oversight of assigned accounts and ensure teams remain aligned with client goals and business objectives.

What success looks like?

· Think strategically: Focus on business goals, constraints, and the underlying challenges—not just campaigns and deliverables. Start with understanding what the client is trying to achieve and what is preventing them from getting there.

· Lead from the front: Set clear direction, make informed decisions, take ownership of outcomes, and provide the leadership needed to move accounts forward.

· Adapt based on data: Recognize that strategy is iterative. Develop a plan, monitor results, and adjust course when the data indicates that a different approach is needed.

· Lead and develop people: Act as a true people leader by providing meaningful feedback, developing team members, building trust, and creating an environment where people can perform and grow.

· Challenge assumptions: Push back when something doesn't make sense, whether with clients, team members, or leadership. Use data, experience, and sound reasoning rather than ego to support your perspective.

· Stay current: Keep up with changes across advertising platforms, marketing tools, technologies, and broader industry trends.

· Enjoy complex problem-solving: Diagnose performance issues, identify conversion barriers, determine effective offer structures, and isolate the variables that are limiting account performance.

Requirements

· 5+ years of marketing experience, ideally in direct response, information marketing, coaching, or performance marketing environments where you have been accountable for client outcomes—not just deliverables.

· Proven team management experience, with a track record of being responsible for the performance, development, and growth of team members.

· Cross-discipline marketing expertise across paid media, copy, creative, funnels, and offers. You don't need to be the strongest specialist in every discipline, but you must understand what high-quality work looks like and be capable of directing and QA'ing work across each area.

· Experience with offer strategy and positioning, including pricing, packaging, value propositions, and understanding the factors that drive conversions, particularly within the information marketing and coaching space.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication to different audiences:

  • Strategic performance narratives and recommendations for clients
  • Clear direction and feedback for team members
  • Concise context, insights, and recommendations for leadership

· Experience working in async-first environments, with strong self-management, written communication, and accountability.

· Practical experience using AI tools to support areas such as data analysis, research, and information consolidation, while understanding when AI is useful and when human judgment and strategic thinking are required.
