Media Buyer

Company Overview

It is a remote-first performance marketing practice that runs paid media for a focused portfolio of coaching, consulting, B2B, financial services, real estate, and high-ticket information-product clients. The agency specializes in paid lead generation and end-to-end ads and funnels, strictly focusing on B2B lead gen and high-ticket coaching while explicitly excluding e-commerce. The company operates with a founder-led, playbook-driven approach: everything is standardized in an MB Meta SOP, decisions are documented, and continuous improvement is part of the day-to-day. The culture values operators who care about outcomes, clear communication, and teaching what they learn to others. This is a dynamic agency environment where team members must be flexible, proactive, and willing to wear multiple hats to support overall operations.

Mission

You will own the day-to-day execution, scaling, and optimization decisions of paid media across our portfolio, using the operating playbook to scale client accounts profitably while protecting CAC. You will start by taking over a close-knit current portfolio of 4 clients spending between $200/day and $6,000/day (up to ~$180k-$200k monthly for top clients), with a clear roadmap to scale your oversight to 8–15 accounts within your first 90 days. Day-to-day this means running and optimizing Meta campaigns, keeping the tracking stack healthy, making disciplined scale-or-kill calls, and documenting every decision so the playbook improves month over month. As a well-rounded team member, you will also confidently step into responsibilities beyond traditional media buying, including managing CRM technical tasks, setting up no-code automations, and assisting with email copywriting. If you enjoy operating with ownership, writing your work down, leveraging emerging AI tools, and working in a fast-paced, founder-led environment — you'll feel right at home.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily tasks will vary, giving you room to learn, grow, and strengthen your skills while supporting the team with excellence.

  • Execute day-to-day paid media management for a portfolio of coaching, consulting, B2B, financial services, real estate, and high-ticket info-product clients (strictly non-e-commerce).
  • Run Meta Ads campaigns following the MB Meta SOP campaign structure and scaling playbook, incorporating frameworks from top industry minds like Evan Seech and Jeremy Haynes.
  • Audit accounts against the MB Meta SOP and identify the two biggest performance or tracking leaks per account within your first 30 days.
  • Protect client CAC targets and ensure every active account is hitting or beating its CAC goal, focusing heavily on downstream funnel metrics like cost per call, cost per lead, and account-level ROAS.
  • Take full ownership of advanced funnel architecture and campaign strategy across client accounts.
  • Maintain tracking health on every account (ensure CAPI is live, EMQ 7+ where required, and deduplication 90%+), utilizing dual Pixel + Conversion API deployment and pixel conditioning.
  • Configure and manage CRM technical tasks, integrations, and tracking setups utilizing systems like High Roast CRM and GoHighLevel (GHL).
  • Build, manage, and troubleshoot marketing funnels using ClickFunnels, GoHighLevel, and other landing page platforms.
  • Set up, test, and maintain no-code operational workflows and lead-routing pipelines using tools like Zapier or similar automation platforms.
  • Draft and optimize compelling marketing copy, including email copywriting for lead nurture sequences and funnel flows.
  • Run pre-scale checks and clear all pre-scale gates before increasing budget.
  • Make and document every scale or kill decision within 24 hours; include a 60–90 second Loom plus a one-line entry in the decision log naming the governing SOP section.
  • Complete daily brief async reports (Loom or written) under 5 minutes and end-of-day 60–90 second Looms or short notes covering what moved and next steps.
  • Update ClickUp before EOD so every active task has a status and no work is mysterious.
  • Lead weekly 30-minute funnel-health syncs and share a weekly account-level summary of tests, results, and next steps, demonstrating a willingness to learn from and educate the client.
  • Run creative refresh cycles proactively to prevent fatigue and follow the 13 plays and threshold cheat sheet in the SOP, staying completely comfortable with modern post-iOS attribution environments and creative testing patterns.
  • Minimize days to exit learning phase on new campaigns by applying the SOP diagnostics and experiments.
  • Keep a complete decision log (target: 100% of scale and kill calls documented) and flag anything outside the SOP to the founder before actioning.
  • Respond in Slack within 4 hours during the Eastern US overlap window (next morning otherwise) and post a start-of-day Slack update naming your priorities and blockers.
  • Be available within reason during overlap hours for account emergencies on live campaigns.
  • Proactively research, experiment with, and integrate emerging AI tools to keep your marketing and operations skills current.
  • Work with attribution and tracking tools (Hyros or equivalent), High Roast CRM, GHL, Clickfunnels, and other funnel platforms to troubleshoot and maintain accurate measurement.
  • Contribute to and propose playbook iterations; document any new frameworks or experiments so they become part of the knowledge base, helping shape the workflow for future team scale.
  • Teach and document processes for future hires; handoffs and Looms are part of how we operate.

Qualifications

  • Years of Experience: 2+ years managing paid media accounts with direct experience managing real platform spend of $200+ per day per account on Meta (Theory-only and coursework applicants will not be considered)
  • CRM Tool: High Roast CRM and GHL (GoHighLevel) required
  • Softwares: Meta Ads Manager, ClickFunnels, High Roast CRM, GoHighLevel (GHL), Zapier (or similar no-code automation tools), AI tools, ClickUp, Loom, Slack, Notion, Google Workspace, Hyros (or equivalent attribution)
  • Industry Knowledge Required: Deep understanding of B2B lead-generation funnels with downstream sales conversations (including VSLs, book-a-call, webinar, challenge, and application funnels). Experience analyzing show rates, close rates, and qualified lead rates is non-negotiable. Advanced funnel architecture knowledge is a strong bonus. E-commerce specialists are explicitly excluded from this role.
  • Specific Gender: No preference
  • Language Skills: Strong English communication skills (written and verbal) are required for internal, client-facing, and copywriting tasks.

Skills & Competencies

  • Operator mindset: measured by outcomes, such as cost per call and account-level ROAS, not hours
  • Agency mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, evolving responsibilities, and a natural willingness to wear multiple hats as needed
  • Documentation instinct: daily Looms, decision logs, and written updates come naturally
  • Self-motivated learner: a consistent drive to stay up-to-date with emerging digital marketing, AI, and automation technologies
  • Analytical curiosity and the "why reflex": diagnose when performance moves and design the right experiments unless throwing blame at the algorithm or the client
  • Direct, clear communication and timely escalation of issues: delivering bad news fast and good news with empirical proof
  • Ownership of mistakes: diagnose, fix, document, and move on
  • Comfort with the unknown, post-iOS attribution rules, and rapid platform changes (Meta proficiency):
  • Teaching instinct: able to explain decisions clearly to founders, clients, and future hires
  • Attention to detail and strong written communication for async work
  • Long-term commitment orientation: with an innate desire to grow into an operations and client success management position after month 12

Technical Requirements

  • Own PC or laptop
  • Reliable internet connection (wired connection recommended)
  • Noise-cancelling headset and a quiet, professional workspace
  • Access to and working knowledge of Meta Ads Manager and the ability to implement/validate CAPI, optimize Event Match Quality, and handle pixel conditioning
  • Familiarity with CRM configuration (High Roast CRM/GHL) and setting up automated triggers (Zapier)
  • Familiarity with attribution platforms (Hyros or equivalent) and funnel platforms (ClickFunnels, GHL)
  • Daily ability to record short Loom videos and maintain ClickUp task updates
  • Minimum 4 hours overlap with Eastern US business hours for async collaboration and emergencies
  • Ability to diagnose tracking issues (EMQ, dedup rates) and work with developers or tracking vendors as needed
