Media Buyer (Internal Sales & Marketing)

Apply for this roleTakes a few minutes — no account needed.

Company Overview

It is one of the largest and most robust growth marketing agencies in the world, with a team of 130+ leaders and creatives. It specializes in local lead generation, e-commerce, and information marketing, serving clients that range from auto and local shop owners to online consumer product brands and course or coaching creators. Its philosophy is that excellence comes from a united team working toward a common objective: helping clients grow profitably while giving them an experience they can't find anywhere else. The company invests heavily in its people through extensive training, continuous support for growth and learning, and a happy, confident culture where finding fulfillment in your career matters as much as excelling in it.

Mission

We're hiring a Media Buyer to own paid acquisition for the company's own Internal Sales & Marketing team. Instead of managing a portfolio of client accounts, you'll focus on growing the business itself by building, managing, and scaling paid campaigns that generate qualified opportunities for the sales team. You'll decide how campaigns are structured, what gets tested and why, where budget goes, when to scale, and when something needs to change, and you'll connect what you see in the ad account to what actually happens further down the sales pipeline. The goal isn't just leads; it's the right leads at a cost that makes sense for the business. If you want to understand how paid platforms work at a technical level, think in terms of revenue rather than platform metrics, and enjoy noticing problems and building a plan before anyone has to ask, you'll feel right at home.

Key Responsibilities

Your day starts with the numbers and ends with a decision. Paid acquisition isn't something you set in the morning and forget until tomorrow.

  • Own paid acquisition for the internal sales and marketing team: build, manage, and scale paid campaigns (primarily Meta) that generate qualified opportunities for sales.
  • Decide campaign structure, budget allocation, and what to test, and explain the "why" behind every major decision in the account.
  • Review campaigns daily: spend pacing, overnight performance, lead volume and cost, delivery, disapprovals, billing issues, and tracking problems, and check performance again later in the day.
  • Optimize actively: adjust budgets, cut underperforming ads after an appropriate testing window, launch new creative, and test audiences and campaign structures.
  • Look beyond CPL to lead quality, booked calls, show rates, close rates, CAC, and revenue, and investigate when volume looks great but quality or close rates decline.
  • Cross-reference platform data with internal reporting and sales data, and flag discrepancies instead of optimizing on data you don't trust.
  • Plan and run structured creative, audience, offer, and campaign tests with documented protocols and clear data thresholds.
  • Forecast creative and testing needs before they become urgent, using performance data, win rates, fatigue, and testing cadence.
  • Factor sales capacity, funnel conversion rates, lead quality, and CAC into every scaling decision, not just "CPA looks good, let's spend more."
  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Creative, and leadership so paid media decisions reflect real sales data and business objectives.
  • Communicate proactively and asynchronously in Slack and ClickUp: what's performing, what's not, what you're learning, and what you're doing about it, without being chased.
  • Take ownership of tracking issues, ad disapprovals, and billing problems rather than treating them as someone else's job.
  • Stay current on platform changes, algorithm updates, and new tools, and use AI tools for analysis, research, and reporting where they help.

Qualifications

  • Years of Experience: 2+ years of hands-on media buying, managing meaningful paid media budgets and making independent optimization and scaling decisions
  • CRM Tool: Experience working with CRM, third-party attribution, analytics, or reporting platforms, and the ability to evaluate performance across multiple data sources
  • Softwares: Meta Ads Manager (deep proficiency is critical: campaign architecture, conversion objectives, consolidation strategy, testing methodology, and how platform changes affect performance); Google Ads across Search and YouTube is a strong plus; Slack and ClickUp for async work; AI tools for analysis, research, and reporting
  • Industry Knowledge Required: Performance marketing and lead generation, with a strong understanding of funnel math and how paid media metrics connect to booked calls, show rates, close rates, CAC, and revenue
  • Specific Gender: No preference

Skills & Competencies

  • Proactive by default: surfaces problems, recommendations, and creative needs before anyone has to ask, and never waits to be told what to test, optimize, or scale
  • Thinks in revenue and business impact, not just CPL, CTR, or ROAS, and is curious about what happens to a lead after it converts
  • Deep technical understanding of how paid platforms work and how platform behavior affects campaign strategy
  • Experienced in developing and running structured creative, audience, offer, and campaign tests, and comfortable testing aggressively while deciding by clear data and defined thresholds
  • Analytical: evaluates lead quality and downstream sales performance across multiple data sources and won't optimize on numbers that don't line up
  • Strong cross-functional and async communication: gives clear, contextual updates in Slack and ClickUp without being chased
  • Takes extreme ownership, including tracking issues, disapprovals, and billing problems, and focuses on solutions rather than problems
  • Comfortable with direct feedback and high expectations, and open to the best idea winning
  • Keeps up with platform changes, algorithm updates, and new tools independently, and uses AI tools where useful while knowing where human judgment is still required
