Project Manager – Internal Sales Team

Company Overview

We are a fast-growing, global growth marketing agency with a team of 130+ passionate leaders and creatives. The company partners with businesses across local lead generation, e-commerce, and information marketing, helping clients—from local business owners and consumer brands to course creators and coaches—achieve profitable growth through data-driven and disruptive marketing strategies.

The company places a strong emphasis on teamwork, continuous learning, professional development, and a positive culture. Team members are encouraged to take ownership, challenge the status quo, solve problems proactively, and continuously grow their skills.

Mission

We are looking for a proactive, ownership-driven Project Manager to own the planning and execution of projects for a small internal sales team of 2–3 people.

This is a hands-on project management role, not a coordination position. You will be responsible for understanding what needs to happen, creating and maintaining project plans, managing timelines and dependencies, identifying risks early, removing blockers, and ensuring projects are completed successfully.

Your mission is to create structure, accountability, and visibility across the team so that everyone knows what needs to be done, who owns it, and when it needs to be completed.

Responsibilities

  • Own projects from conception through completion, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and to the expected standard.
  • Build proactive project plans based on team objectives, priorities, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Monitor internal team performance and hold team members accountable for deadlines, SOPs, and project commitments.
  • Track project progress and ensure leadership has clear visibility without needing to request frequent updates.
  • Identify risks, blockers, and potential delays early and provide context and recommended solutions.
  • Follow up proactively with team members to keep projects moving and remove obstacles.
  • Ensure action items from meetings are documented, assigned to owners, given deadlines, and followed through to completion.
  • Ensure every team member understands their responsibilities, deadlines, and how their work contributes to the broader plan.
  • Communicate project and account standings clearly and professionally.
  • Support client communication by ensuring deliverable statuses, asset requests, and action items are addressed promptly.
  • Adjust project plans and timelines when priorities or circumstances change.
  • Promote accountability, ownership, and the company's core values within the team.
  • Help optimize team processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and execution.
  • Ensure projects are actively managed rather than simply monitored or reported on.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of professional project management experience.
  • Proven experience managing projects from conception through completion.
  • Strong ability to independently build, manage, and adjust project plans.
  • Experience managing multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to identify small but important issues before they become problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, follow-up, and accountability skills.
  • Ability to proactively identify risks, dependencies, and blockers and take action to resolve them.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and making appropriate judgment calls without constant direction.
  • Ability to push back professionally when timelines are unrealistic or requirements lack clarity.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on solutions rather than simply reporting problems.
  • Ability to take ownership of outcomes rather than simply completing assigned activities.
  • Familiarity with project management and collaboration tools such as ClickUp, Slack, Figma, and Google Workspace.
  • Interest in understanding the work being managed, particularly direct-response and growth marketing principles.

You'll Thrive in This Role If You

  • Want to develop and master project management as a discipline.
  • Take ownership of outcomes and follow through until work is actually completed.
  • Enjoy making teams more effective and improving how they operate.
  • Are proactive, autonomous, and comfortable working with limited direction.
  • Are confident challenging unrealistic timelines and asking for clarity when needed.
  • Are curious about marketing and want to understand the work behind the projects you manage.

Success in the Role

Success means leadership has clear visibility into project progress without needing to chase updates, risks are identified before they become urgent issues, weekly plans are proactive and realistic, and the sales team can rely on you to own execution while they focus on strategy and client relationships.

You will be successful when projects consistently move forward, responsibilities and deadlines are clear, meeting action items are followed through, and client communication is prompt and professional.
