Sales Manager
Working Hours: 9 hours, from 7 PM till 4 AM Beirut Time / Remote
Salary Range: 3,000 - 3,500$ per month
Company Overview
The company provides residential and commercial roofing and exterior renovation services, including roof replacements, repairs, inspections, siding, windows, and other exterior improvement projects. The team is focused on delivering quality workmanship while providing homeowners with a professional, customer-focused experience.
We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead and strengthen our revenue-conversion team. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for improving sales performance, coaching the team, protecting margins, building a predictable pipeline, and creating a sales operation that can perform consistently without relying on the CEO for day-to-day management.
This is a fully remote leadership position, but it is not a passive or administrative management role. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly accountable, comfortable using technology to lead remotely, and capable of earning the respect of salespeople through strong leadership, coaching, consistency, and results.
Genuine, proven remote sales leadership experience is strongly required for this role. The ability to manage, coach, monitor, and hold salespeople accountable without relying on physical proximity is a core requirement.
Mission
We're hiring a Sales Manager to lead the revenue-conversion organization across Project Experts, Inside Sales, and showroom/retail staff.
You'll directly lead our field Project Experts, who meet homeowners in their homes and sell roofing, siding, windows, and other exterior renovation projects. You'll also oversee the Inside Sales function through its existing Inside Sales Manager, ensuring the department works cohesively with field sales and maintains strong qualification, appointment-setting, follow-up, nurture, and reactivation processes.
The Sales Manager is responsible for the overall performance and alignment of the Inside Sales function but is not expected to bypass or replace the existing Inside Sales Manager in day-to-day management of individual Inside Sales representatives.
You'll coach actual customer conversations, improve conversion, maintain pipeline and forecast accuracy, establish accountability, and develop the people and systems needed for predictable revenue growth.
This role is particularly suited to a leader who has already proven they can manage sales teams remotely. You'll need to know how to maintain visibility, coach effectively, hold people accountable, and identify problems without physically sitting beside the team every day.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will combine sales leadership, coaching, performance management, forecasting, recruiting and development, and cross-functional coordination.
Sales Leadership & Project Experts:
- Directly lead and manage Project Experts responsible for in-home sales.
- Coach Project Experts on discovery, customer education, needs assessment, value presentation, financing, objection handling, closing, and follow-up.
- Review actual customer conversations, proposals, CRM activity, and sales results to identify coaching opportunities.
- Use approved call recordings, transcripts, role-play, proposals, CRM activity, and field observations to provide practical, specific coaching.
- Establish clear sales standards, expectations, KPIs, and accountability.
- Monitor individual conversion rates, appointment quality, closing performance, follow-up, and gross-profit performance.
- Help salespeople improve results without relying on unnecessary discounting or unsupported promises.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones and individual coaching sessions.
- Create and manage individual coaching or performance-improvement plans when necessary.
- Address underperformance directly and professionally.
- Participate in recruiting, onboarding, training, and development of sales team members and future sales leaders.
Inside Sales Leadership:
- Oversee the Inside Sales department through its existing Inside Sales Manager.
- Ensure Inside Sales and field sales operate as one cohesive revenue-conversion team.
- Work with the Inside Sales Manager to improve response time, lead qualification, appointment setting, appointment confirmation, follow-up, nurture, and reactivation.
- Review department-level performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure qualified opportunities are properly handed off to Project Experts.
- Maintain accountability for lead ownership, follow-up standards, and pipeline quality without unnecessarily bypassing the existing Inside Sales management structure.
- Help establish consistent communication and expectations between Inside Sales and field sales.
- Support the Inside Sales Manager in identifying performance issues, process gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
Pipeline & Forecast Management:
- Own overall sales pipeline accuracy and forecast discipline.
- Ensure opportunities are correctly entered, staged, assigned, updated, and followed up within the CRM.
- Maintain clear lead ownership and accountability.
- Identify stalled, aging, and at-risk opportunities.
- Develop reliable revenue forecasts based on qualified pipeline rather than optimistic assumptions.
- Track conversion metrics and use performance data to identify problems and opportunities.
- Ensure complete and accurate Sales-to-Production handoffs.
Showroom / Retail Team:
- Oversee showroom and retail employees from a customer-engagement and messaging perspective.
- Train staff on company messaging, customer experience expectations, and appropriate ways to engage showroom visitors.
- Help showroom employees understand how to communicate the company's services and value proposition.
- Ensure customers receive a consistent experience whether they interact online, by phone, in the showroom, or with a Project Expert.
- Note that showroom/retail employees are currently not responsible for selling or booking appointments; the focus is on customer engagement, communication, and messaging.
Coaching & Accountability:
- Establish daily sales accountability and consistent management rhythms.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones with sales team members.
- Lead sales meetings and performance reviews.
- Create measurable individual development plans.
- Use role-play to improve sales conversations and objection handling.
- Review actual customer interactions instead of relying only on reported results.
- Identify performance problems early and take action before they become larger issues.
- Develop high performers while providing clear expectations and support to underperformers.
- Build a culture of ownership, follow-through, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in recruiting, onboarding, training, and development of future sales leaders.
- Conduct difficult performance conversations directly and professionally when required.
Remote Leadership:
- Lead the sales organization effectively without relying on constant in-person supervision.
- Demonstrate proven experience managing salespeople or sales teams remotely.
- Use CRM data, call recordings, video meetings, messaging platforms, dashboards, and other available technology to maintain visibility into team performance.
- Maintain consistent communication and accountability across a remote team.
- Proactively identify issues rather than waiting for the CEO to discover them.
- Run effective virtual sales meetings, one-on-ones, coaching sessions, role-plays, and performance reviews.
- Build credibility and trust with employees while maintaining clear authority and accountability.
- Keep the team focused and productive even when working independently from a remote environment.
- Use technology and structured processes to make remote management as effective as possible.
- Demonstrate the ability to diagnose performance issues and coach improvement without requiring physical proximity to the salesperson.
- Establish structured remote-management rhythms that provide visibility into activity, performance, pipeline, and follow-through.
Marketing & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work alongside the Marketing Manager to keep sales messaging and lead flow aligned.
- Provide Marketing with feedback on lead quality, customer objections, messaging, and conversion trends.
- Collaborate on improving the transition from marketing-generated demand to qualified sales opportunities.
- Marketing remains responsible for demand generation; this role is a peer partner, not the Marketing Manager's boss.
- Work with Production leadership when field observations or technical feedback are needed.
- Ensure sales commitments and customer expectations are communicated accurately to Production.
- Maintain strong Sales-to-Production handoffs.
- Work collaboratively with Finance and other leadership functions within established financial and operational guardrails.
Revenue & Margin Improvement:
- Improve revenue conversion through better processes, coaching, qualification, and sales execution.
- Protect gross margins while improving close rates.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales without creating unnecessary discounting.
- Ensure salespeople sell based on customer value rather than unsupported promises or excessive price concessions.
- Develop a repeatable sales process that produces predictable results.
- Use performance data to identify opportunities to improve both revenue and gross-profit performance.
