Company Overview

The company is a fast-growing residential solar business dedicated to bringing clean energy solutions to homeowners. The business focuses on delivering high-quality solar installations while maintaining strict operational standards and fast funding turnaround times to support scalability and sustained growth.

Mission

We are looking for a detail-oriented Solar Funding Specialist to review photos of completed residential solar jobs and ensure they meet our lenders' quality standards. In this role, your primary goal will be to achieve a high first-time approval rate and accelerate the transition of projects from installation completion to funding approval. By systematically documenting recurring issues for field teams, you will play a key role in driving quality control and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Your daily tasks will vary, giving you room to learn, grow, and strengthen your skills while supporting the team with excellence.
  • Review photos of each completed job against a clear checklist (array, equipment, electrical, roof, labels, etc.).
  • Approve jobs that meet lender standards or request specific additional photos from field teams.
  • Track and optimize your first-time pass rate and overall funding turnaround time.
  • Document and write up recurring photo submission problems by crew so operations can provide targeted training.
  • Stay updated on changing lender requirements and apply modified guidelines consistently.

Qualifications

  • Years of Experience: Prior experience reviewing photos, documents, products, or work against a standard (any industry) is helpful, but no prior solar experience is required (full training provided).
  • Tools & Software: Experience using digital checklists, audit tracking software, or documentation platforms.
  • Industry Knowledge Required: Basic understanding of quality assurance principles, document/photo review standards, and compliance checklists.

Skills & Competencies

  • Obsessive attention to detail — ability to notice small issues and discrepancies others miss.
  • Strong ability to follow detailed checklists and apply standards consistently and objectively.
  • Capable of working quickly and managing volume without sacrificing accuracy.
  • Clear, direct, and professional written communication to document issues for field crews.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable being measured on performance metrics (pass rate and turnaround time).

Technical Requirements

  • Own PC or laptop with strong processing capabilities
  • Reliable, high-speed internet connection (wired connection recommended)
  • Noise-cancelling headset and a quiet, professional workspace
  • Ability to operate securely with sensitive company data, systems, and software
