Team Lead - Lifecycle Marketing (Pod Lead)
Company Overview
It is a premier, globally recognized lifecycle marketing and retention agency operating at the top tier of international tech partnerships. The firm acts as a high-velocity revenue architecture partner for elite direct-to-consumer (DTC) retail and enterprise SaaS brands generating $5M to $50M in revenue. Built on a foundational culture of "High Standards + Unconditional Support," the agency eliminates slow corporate hierarchies and committee-led gridlocks to focus entirely on data-driven results. Operating with an intense level of internal accountability—including daily production tracking and structured performance scorecards—the team moves fast, communicates with radical candor, and builds scalable systems that turn operational chaos into predictable, compounding lifetime value (LTV).
Mission
We are seeking a highly competent, "player-coach" Team Lead to run an active 12-client retention pod. You will completely own pod-level economics—retention, expansion growth, and delivery quality—while directly mentoring and managing 1-2 Strategists and an Associate. This is a heavy ownership seat with clear hire/fire authority over your pod, where you will step in to guide the highest-stakes accounts while simultaneously building the talent bench behind you.
If you are a calm, decisive leader who handles fires with strategic action plans rather than status explanations, this role offers a straight trajectory to Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Pod-Level Economics: Directly manage and protect a pod consisting of 12 clients, 2 Strategists, 1 Associate, and shared creative/design assets, hitting strict retention and growth metrics.
- High-Stakes Client Book: Maintain personal end-to-end strategic ownership over 6 of the most complex, highest-MRR accounts within the pod—writing their roadmaps, managing scope, and leading their QBRs.
- People Management & Authority: Lead weekly 1:1s, monthly individual scorecards, and quarterly performance calibrations. Execute real, final decision-making authority over hiring loops, onboarding, performance plans, and team offboarding.
- Crisis Management: Act as the absolute final point of escalation for client friction within your pod, generating documented, actionable rescue plans within 48 hours of any account red flag.
- SOP & Playbook Architecture: Author and ship 2 pod-level playbooks per quarter to constantly elevate QA standards, churn prevention, persona targeting, and team capacity tracking.
- Founder Partnership: Interface directly with the CEO to drive quarterly delivery audits, prospect pitches, and high-level capacity alignment.
Qualifications
- Years of Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing primarily within a fast-moving agency framework, including 1–2 years in an explicit team lead, pod lead, or managerial seat.
- CRM Tool: Master-level Klaviyo practitioner capable of auditing complex logic, handling attribution modeling, and evaluating deep flow setups in minutes.
- Softwares: Triple Whale, Lifetimely, Shopify, Slack, Asana, and advanced analytics dashboards.
- Industry Knowledge Required: Comprehensive expertise in e-commerce retention landscapes, cross-channel text/email integration, and a history of owning \$1M+ in attributed revenue across a diverse portfolio of brands.
- Specific Gender: No preference.
Skills and Competencies
- Dual-Truth Leadership: Possesses the rare ability to defend a team's capacity while aggressively pushing them to meet strict business targets and KPIs.
- Executive Presence: Native or near-native English fluency with the confidence to lead demanding client interactions and represent agency leadership flawlessly.
- Radical Candor Practitioner: Allergic to workplace politics; capable of giving clean, unfiltered feedback to reports and managing disagreements constructively with the founder.
- Systems Architect: Deep appreciation for processes, tracking metrics, and scalable playbooks over improvised "vibes."

- High-performance PC/laptop setup.
- Blazing fast, consistent internet connection.
